Job summary

Whip's Carpentry in North Phoenix is seeking an Assistant Machine Operator for a full-time daytime shift (7:00am - 3:30pm). The role focuses on quality control, machine maintenance, and helping ensure production efficiency.

You will participate in training during the first 30 days, follow all safety policies, and contribute to a reliable, productive team environment.

Qualifications

• Able to work safely and steadily in one location for up to 8 hours.
• Lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Excellent attendance record required.
• Willing to follow all company policies and meet productivity, quality, and safety goals.
• Complete training and achieve proficiency within first 30 days of employment.

Assistant Machine Operator will aid with quality control and safety of machines while also providing maintenance and inspections to ensure proper operation. This role will also have the opportunity to enhance their skills in several work areas in order to facilitate efficiency in the warehouse.

• Assisting a machine operator: Catching, Quality Control, etc
• General machine maintenance: Cleaning and inspecting for proper function and safety
• Perform the various necessary functions needed to ensure production consistency.
• Complete training and achieve an acceptable level of proficiency within first 30 days of employment

Requirements

• Able to work safely and steadily in one location for up to 8 hours
• Lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds independently and multiple times daily as well as comfortably bend, crouch, reach, and stretch
• Able to handle boards of varying weights and sizes
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to detail
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must have an excellent attendance record
• Must be willing and able to follow all company policies
• Meet productivity, quality, and safety goals
• Follow directions and completes paperwork correctly and neatly
• Actively participate in all team meetings and events
