Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a dependable Machine Operator I in Wisconsin to set up and operate production equipment according to established procedures and quality standards. You will secure materials, monitor feeds, and ensure safe, efficient operation while maintaining clean, organized work areas and accurate production records.

This entry-level role requires at least 18 years old and basic math skills; prior manufacturing experience is helpful but not required, and the company promotes equal

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.
• Basic math skills preferred.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete work area setup.
• Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently.
• Stack finished products according to procedures.
• Keep work area safe, clean and organized.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products for standards.
• Participate in safety and quality programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Machine Operator I is responsible for the set up and operation of a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Secures and maintains material and supplies required on the operation.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner, and according to established procedures.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
