ACERO is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to manage equipment setup, start-up, shut-down, and routine inspections on-site in Indiana. You will contribute to safety, quality, productivity and cost improvements in existing manufacturing processes.

You will work with supervisors and engineers to resolve production problems, read SPC charts, train others in assembly techniques, and ensure cleanliness of equipment. The role requires teamwork and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Operate tool functions in full production mode.
  • Determine error codes and restart steps to resume operations.
  • Basic troubleshooting on error codes and fault conditions.
  • Identify material status and plan replenishment.
  • Read and interpret SPC charts and tool-station patterns.
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to develop tool knowledge.
  • Support process or tool experiments.
  • Work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for equipment start-up, set-up, shut-down, malfunction detection, and inspection.
  • Feed product into the hopper or feeding device into designated equipment.
  • Maintain safety procedures and uphold quality metrics.
  • Confer with supervisors to plan and review work activities and resolve production problems.
  • Explain assembly procedures to other workers.
  • Ensure cleanliness of equipment under responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description
Job Summary:

The Machine Operator will be responsible of the equipment and ensure proper set up, start up, shut-down procedures and safe operation. The operator will play a key role in improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost on existing manufacturing processes.

Engage in safe work behaviors and adhere to all organization's safety standards and regulations.

Responsible for equipment start-up, set-up, shut-down, malfunction detection, and inspection to resolve or escape.

Feeds product into the hopper or other feeding device(s) into designated equipment

Basic knowledge of the use of PLC's programming.

Responsible for the support of automation equipment in a manufacturing environment and support of existing automation systems.

Identify basic mechanical, electrical, and computer systems issues or alerts and reset appropriately.

Interpreter and follow maintenance procedures.

Confer with supervisors, peers, or engineers to plan and review work activities and resolve production problems.

Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.

Understand the usage of calipers, quality department tools, and adhere to production quality metrics and standards.

Ensure cleanliness of equipment in your responsibility regularly.

Performs other duties as assigned.
