Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a hardworking individual for a full-time manufacturing role at our Monticello, IA site. The position involves setting up and operating heavy machinery, reading blueprints, and ensuring safety while producing building parts.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years in high production manufacturing and be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in high production manufacturing environment.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical data and select correct raw material or semi-finished parts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations.
• Knowledge of production techniques and ability to produce quality-building parts.
• Follow safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
• Operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools.
• Mark part numbers and order numbers, attach identification tags for traceability.
• Support continuous improvement practices in the work area.
• Handle repetitive material and navigate varying body positioning.
• Climb on and off equipment and ladders as needed.
• Work in varying and extreme conditions inside and outside (hot, cold, rain, shine).

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $20 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations
• Knowledge of production techniques and have the ability to produce quality-building parts
• Knows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment
• Ability to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation
• Mark part number, order number, number of pieces on parts. Attach identification tags as required for customer to have the ability to locate correct parts
• Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area
• Repetitive material handling. Some in awkward body positioning
• Repetitive climbing on and off of equipment and ladders
• Varying and extreme working conditions inside and outside (Hot, Cold, Rain, Shine)
