This position earns a competitive union salary starting at $28.72/hr. and eligible for daily overtime after 8 hours. After 12 months in the production role, the salary would be $31.75/hr. This is a first shift operation with a predictable work schedule of 6:00am - 2:30pm. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PAINT MACHINE OPERATOR

As a Paint Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a large machine that includes HVLP (high-volume, low-pressure) paint guns to apply industrial paint finishes on glass products and ovens that dry the paint on the glass. You will prepare glass for paint application and cleaning the glass and equipment for highest quality results. You will mix paint materials including epoxy primer and polyurethane pain and maintain equipment including changing filters frequently. You will be responsible for moving large pieces of glass and ensuring the finish is precise.

Using our standard operating processes and software, you will ensure product in created for jobs on time and to specifications. Attention to detail and accuracy are key to success. Your ideas matter and will be key to continuous improvement for Minneapolis Glass.

Paint Machine Operator Qualifications:

• High School degree / GED required
• 2 years of experience on a production line or manufacturing work
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. regularly
• Ability to stand for 8 hours a day with frequent lifting, carrying, bending and stretching
• Previous paint and glass fabrication experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with general mechanical tools, forklifts, cranes and other machines

PAY RATE

Production workers start at $28.72/hr. and progress to $31.75/hr. after 12 months. Pension begins after 6 months.

WORK SCHEDULE

This paint machine operator position is full-time with a schedule of 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and paid overtime beyond 8 hours daily.
