Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) in Mesa, AZ, seeks motivated production personnel to join our team. You will train on applicable equipment, assist in loading and unloading stock, and maintain a clean, safe work area while operating fabrication machines per established procedures.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, willingness to cross-train, and strict adherence to OSHA/EPA safety policies. You will be part of a fast-paced operation with emphasis on teamwork and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather.
• Able and willing to cross train as required.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations.
• Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits.
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues.
• Ability to operate fabrication machines in a safe manner without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
• Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture.
• Operate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders, etc.
