  • Experience as a Machine Operator in manufacturing preferred, life sciences or medical devices a plus.
  • Ability to read manuals, blueprints and production schedules.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production machines per procedures and safety rules.
  • Perform routine machine setup, load materials, adjust settings, run tests.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot minor malfunctions to reduce downtime.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks and document results.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled.
  • Maintain accurate production records: output, downtime, material usage.
  • Adhere to GMP/ISO and other regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate status and issues with supervisors and maintenance staff.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Assist with other production-related tasks as needed.

Job Summary

Augusta Life Sciences US OpCo I LLC is seeking a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain production machinery, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role is crucial for meeting production targets and maintaining product integrity in a regulated environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor various production machines according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine machine setup, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and conducting initial tests.
  • Monitor machine performance, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot minor malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks and document results to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on machinery as scheduled or directed.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and material usage.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, ISO).
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and maintenance personnel regarding production status and machine issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with other production-related tasks as needed.
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the life sciences or medical device industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and operate complex machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and production schedules.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface operation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as production demands require.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory standards is a plus.
