Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking an Operator to own the assigned packaging machine, maximize uptime, reduce scrap, and improve efficiency under GMP and food safety standards.

You will mentor teammates, troubleshoot issues, participate in trainings, perform data entry with accuracy, and maintain housekeeping while supporting continuous improvement across production, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trades training a plus.
  • At least three years of manufacturing experience as a maintenance or production leader/operator.
  • Ability to read precision measuring tools and read basic mechanical and pneumatics schematics.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and accurate data entry.
  • Ability to analyze data and influence effective decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and oversee the assigned packaging machine, aiming for maximum uptime and productivity.
  • Identify and troubleshoot machine issues; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor, coach and train team members on operating techniques and best practices.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and participate in required trainings (safety, technical).
  • Ensure accurate data entry and data integrity for transactions.
  • Support new hire training and packaging quality control activities.

Job DescriptionROLE OVERVIEWThe Operator has overall responsibility for their respective machine and its numbers, including but not limited to uptime/downtime, product scrap, output, and efficiency through exercising good manufacturing practices and identifying areas of opportunity for continuous improvement, all while maintaining all safety standards and expectations relating to their job and machine. Frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels. Potential contact with chemicals and cleaning supplies, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds is a requirement.
