Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a Machine Operator in Lebanon, IN to operate manufacturing equipment and monitor product quality on a fast-paced line. The role requires following GMPs, safety rules, and production schedules while maintaining clean work areas and accurate inventory records.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and prior experience with production equipment. This position offers 2nd shift hours and an hourly pay rate of $22.00.

Location: Lebanon, IN

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Schedule: 2nd shift - 6:45 PM - 11:00 PM first day start time is 9:15 AM

Looking for Machine Operator jobs in Lebanon where dependable work keeps production moving? This opportunity lets you operate manufacturing equipment, monitor product quality, and help produce consistent results in a safe, fast-paced production environment.

As a machine operator you will be responsible for the operation of the entire production process.

Job Duties
  • Must comply and support all applicable GMPs, Site Security, and Food Packaging
  • Defense requirements that are referenced in the facilities GFSI food packaging safety program.
  • Other duties as assigned by any member of management.
  • Set up and operation of various machines.
  • Run material through machine according to company specifications.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area, keep equipment in clean and orderly condition, follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications.
  • Ensure all inventory entries are complete and accurate.
  • Inspect and maintain quality of product.
  • Meet all quality and efficiency standards.
  • Meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines.
  • Test operation of machines periodically.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
  • Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment.
  • Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
  • Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting and Machine Operator experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work as a part of a team, and independently.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base profile (below) for this position.
  • Must meet the company quality and performance standards for the job as specified.
  • Must agree to wear the proper assigned PPE and shoes approved for this job as specified in Contact and Safety Requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
  • Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Machine Operator.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, an individual is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and smell.
  • An individual frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • An individual must regularly lift and/or move up to10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
