Job description

AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Kinston, North Carolina, which is one of the world's largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defense platforms, and business/regional jets. The company's core products include fuselages, integrated wings and wing components, pylons, and nacelles.

The Machine Operator will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
2. Determine the sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and setup methods.
3. Use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
4. Perform standard shop computations related to dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points for machining.
5. Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine required materials, parts, and equipment. Some machines may be numerically controlled.
6. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
7. Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Requirements:
