A. O. Smith Corporation is seeking a 1st Shift Operator to support the manufacturing of water heater components. You will cross-train across departments, follow quality and safety standards, and use measurement tools and production schedules to meet daily requirements.
You will monitor production, conduct quality checks, and assist with training while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment on the factory floor.
The 1st Shift Operator will be responsible for the manufacturing of water heater components per department standards. They will cross‑train on operations in each department and follow quality and safety standards. Operator will use measurement tools, work instructions, and production schedule to meet daily production needs and customer requirements along with monitoring performance to optimize production processes.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use production equipment which can exceed a decibel level of 85, thus hearing protection is required on the manufacturing floor as well as eye protection and steel‑toed or composite safety shoes. The plant is climate controlled.
