Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking an operator to manage a Double Shuttle machine. Prepare to take over from the preceding operator and run the machine according to set standards, trimming parts and stacking them accurately.

Maintain a safe, clean work area, keep production and downtime records, inform supervisors if the process goes out of control, attend training, wear PPE, and cooperate with QA and coworkers to meet quality and throughput goals.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 10-30 lbs frequently and 40 lbs occasionally.
• Able to stand, walk, lift, and reach with hands and arms.
• Color Blind Test required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Double Shuttle machine according to set standards.
• Prepare to take over from preceding operator.
• Trim parts to set standards.
• Stack parts in boxes properly.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area and any secondary machinery.
• Keep accurate production and downtime records, including operator logs and production charts.
• Inform supervisors when machine runs out of control or excessive scrap.
• Attend scheduled training classes and participate in attribute studies when needed.
• Follow all work and safety rules and wear appropriate PPE.
• Communicate with QA for quality issue reviews and improvements.
• Meet production team goals for quality, throughput and operating efficiency.
• Collaborate with co-workers and suggest improvements to operator procedures.

• Attend training classes you are scheduled for.
• Take attribute studies when needed.
• Follow all work and safety rules.
• Responsible for wearing appropriate personal protection equipment appropriate for the job.
• Operate Secondary Machinery
• Ability to communicate with QA in case a need arises to review a part or quality issue.
• Responsible for meeting production teams’ goals for quality, throughput, and operating efficiency.
• Communicates and works cooperatively with co-workers.
