Machine Operator

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate various pieces of automated and semi-automated equipment.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Conduct line clearances and verify labels.
• Communicate issues related to equipment operation, quality evaluation, inspection, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and collaborate with other operators as needed.
• Maintain all housekeeping requirements of the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of automated assembly or packaging equipment.
• Ability to prepare clear and complete records and reports.
• Ability to monitor equipment and product quality continuously and communicate problems effectively.
• Experience with ActionPac automation machines is highly preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a general automation machine operator.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and transfer equipment and materials weighing 20-30 pounds.
• Ability to reach, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch.
• Perception of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to differentiate colors (reds, yellows, blues).
