Job Duties

• Safely move, stack, bundle, band, and secure lumber products according to company procedures and customer requirements
• Verify lumber materials meet quality standards, correct quantities, and customer specifications
• Label, tag, and prepare materials before and after production or treatment
• Use staple guns and other equipment safely, including basic troubleshooting as needed
• Apply corner protectors, loading sticks, straps, and other materials to secure finished bundles
• Record production information, maintain tag inventory, and report discrepancies to the supervisor
• Assist with moving materials and loading or unloading carts as needed
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe while following all company and safety guidelines
• Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
• Completes any other related tasks as needed

Qualifications & Desired Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• No prior experience required; manufacturing or lumber industry experience preferred
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurements, counts, and production information
• Ability to read a tape measure and moisture meter accurately
• Ability to identify lumber size, grade, and overall material quality
• Ability to follow specific instructions and work under direct supervision
• Experience using hand tools and other production equipment as needed
• Ability to stack, bundle, and handle materials properly and safely
• Willingness to work in an industrial environment with wood dust, noise, and varying temperatures
• Use PPE as required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
