Job summary

ProLogistix is seeking a Machine Operator in Glendale Heights, IL. Pay $22.00/hour with a full-time schedule, shift Fri-Sun and every other Thursday, with benefits.

You will operate filling and packaging equipment, perform startups and changeovers, monitor performance, and ensure safety and quality. The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, with a strong emphasis on food safety and GMP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Identify defects or safety concerns and report them immediately.
• Assist with line clearances, changeovers, and end-of-shift cleanup; keep areas clean.

Shifts are 4:30a-5p Fri-Sun and every other Thursday

Position Summary

As a Machine Operator, you are a critical part of our production team, ensuring filling and packaging equipment operates safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Your ability to keep production running smoothly directly impacts the success of the entire facility.

What You’ll Do

Equipment Operation

• Operate filling and packaging equipment according to established procedures and production schedules.
• Perform machine startups, changeovers, and routine operational adjustments.
• Monitor equipment performance and help maintain efficient product flow throughout the production line.

Quality & Safety

• Conduct required quality checks and accurately document results.
• Identify and report product defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately.
• Follow all food safety, SQF, GMP, and workplace safety requirements.

Production Support

• Assist with line clearances, changeovers, and end-of-shift cleanup activities.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and inspection-ready.
• Support teammates and rotate workstations as needed to meet production goals.

Required

• Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to follow established food safety and manufacturing procedures.

Preferred

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, packaging, or machine operation.
