Job summary

CKS Packaging, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking Blow Molding Machine Operators to support our shift operations. You will adjust settings, monitor quality, and maintain production records while responding to alarms and ensuring efficient changeovers.

Ideal candidates bring mechanical experience in manufacturing or related fields, with PLC familiarity and a focus on safety, cleanliness, and teamwork on the line.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience with production equipment and process adjustments.
• Ability to read logs and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adjust machine settings to meet product specifications (weight, color distribution, cycle times).
• Retrieve PLC programming info, evaluate and make adjustments.
• Monitor quality standards and maintain production records.
• Respond to alarms and address root causes.
• Coordinate with production personnel to maintain efficiency.
• Perform daily setup and bottle size changeovers.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for required adjustments needed to fulfill the product specification requirements such as weight, color distribution, and cycle times.
• Retrieves PLC programming information, evaluate, and makes adjustments
• Control and adjust machine settings
• Ensures adherence to quality standards
• Will be responsible for daily production records and quality control records for any and all lines assigned to operate
• Answer machine alarms as they occur and address the root cause.
• Coordinate process operations to ensure efficiency, including, communicate with production personnel
• Must be able to keep up to date on process alterations and general procedures by reading logs, special procedures and posted notices
• Responsible for housekeeping & maintaining a clean work area
• Troubleshoot, preventative maintenance and minor repair on blow mold and support equipment
• Perform daily set up and bottle size changeovers on all equipment
