Position: Machine Operator

Shifts Available

1st: 6am-2:30pm (Monday-Friday)

2nd: 2pm-10:30pm (Monday-Friday)

3rd: 10pm-6:30am (Sunday Night - Friday morning)

Location: West Caldwell, NJ

Pay

$22-$24/hour ; Overtime: $33-$36/hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a Packaging Operator with pharmaceutical packaging experience to join a growing manufacturing team. In this hands‑on role, you will operate packaging and filling equipment, complete production documentation, and help ensure products meet quality standards. Responsibilities

• Operate vial filling, packaging, and production equipment

• Set up, clean, and prepare equipment for manufacturing and packaging runs

• Verify equipment is properly calibrated and ready for operation

• Complete batch records, logbooks, and production documentation accurately

• Monitor equipment performance and report any issues to production leadership

• Track and document downtime and production‑related information

• Palletize finished products and move materials as needed

• Communicate production status and quality concerns during shift handoffs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical packaging experience

• Experience operating packaging, filling, or manufacturing equipment

• Ability to follow SOPs and maintain accurate production documentation

• Basic math, reading, writing, and communication skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing gowning environment

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
