Job Title: Brown and Sharpe Operator

Job Description

Horizons HRS, Ltd. is seeking an experienced, trustworthy, and detail-oriented individual for the position of Brown and Sharpe Operator in Elkhart, Indiana. The ideal candidate should possess an exemplary work ethic, meet minimum requirements, and be motivated, well-organized, and adaptable to various environments. Responsibilities include maintaining production standards and enhancing productivity without compromising quality.

Shift

1st shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Occasional mandatory overtime.

Starting Rate

$18 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge.

Responsibilities

1. Develop programs, set tooling, and cams independently or with the engineering team.
2. Program, set up, and operate Servo-driven Brown & Sharpe screw machines.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
4. Operate and perform general maintenance on screw machines.
5. Communicate effectively with team members regarding production needs and quality procedures.
6. Report issues to supervisors promptly.
7. Maintain flexibility to work in different areas of the plant.
8. Ensure punctuality and attendance.
9. Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
10. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, reaching overhead, grasping, pushing, pulling, moving, lifting up to 75 pounds, and carrying objects to waist height.

Qualifications

1. Successful background check and drug test.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
3. Experience with Brown and Sharpe machines.
4. Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing procedures.
5. Knowledge of safety regulations.
6. Proficiency in math skills.
7. Physical capability to perform job duties.
