Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Machine Operator for our Detroit, MI shop. You will perform setups and operate all machines in the Machine Shop, maintain production logs, and ensure quality on first parts off. You will identify materials and retrieve items for jobs, with additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

The ideal candidate has blueprint reading ability, problem solving skills, and a strong eye for detail with reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a machine operator is required.
• Ability to read blueprints is essential.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Strong attention to detail and good attendance are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform setups on all machines in the Machine Shop.
• Operate all machines in the Machine Shop.
• Maintain job sheets and daily production logs.
• Perform quality inspection of the first part off.
• Identify, size and gauge tubing, angle and plate.
• Identify material in storage and retrieve for a specific job.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Identify, size and gauge of tubing, angle and plate.
• Identify material in storage a retrieve for a specific job.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• One-year experience working as a machine operator.
• Experience with various machines including a press break, band saw..
• Good attendance is required.
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to problem solve.
• Strong attention to detail.
