Job summary

Multi-Color Corporation MCC is seeking 2nd and 3rd shift machine operators for our printing operations in Chesapeake, VA. Experience is not required but is a bonus. We offer competitive hourly pay and a generous benefits package.

Responsibilities include checking print and seam quality, removing defective material, splicing rolls, data entry in Globetek, and performing related duties as assigned. Sign-on/retention bonus available.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per specifications.
• Uses a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedures.
• Handles rolls and palletizes them to avoid damage.
• Understands basic printing and seam-related defects.
• Records data on paperwork and in Globetek.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

We are currently looking for 2nd and 3rd Shift Machine Operators supporting our printing operations and production to join our team. Experience is not required but always a bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
• Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
• Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.
• Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
• Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Globetek).
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
