GRIT Staffing is seeking a Machine Operator in New Jersey to operate and monitor cookie production machinery, ensuring lines run safely and meet quality standards. The role requires 1–2 years of hands-on experience, fluency in English and Spanish, and a willingness to complete initial training on 1st shift before moving to 2nd shift.

It emphasizes safety, precision, housekeeping, and adherence to GMP; bakery production experience is a plus and attendance must be reliable.

Responsibilities

• Operate Production Machinery: Operate assigned manufacturing equipment safely and according to established operating procedures.
• Monitor Equipment Performance: Monitor machinery during production and report operating issues or abnormalities promptly.
• Monitor Product Quality: Check products during production to help maintain consistent quality and established specifications.
• Maintain Production Flow: Monitor assigned equipment and production activities to support consistent and efficient output.
• Follow Operating Procedures: Follow production instructions, safety requirements, and applicable food manufacturing standards.
• Complete Production Records: Accurately complete required production logs, machine checks, and other assigned documentation.
• Maintain a Clean Work Area: Keep the assigned work area and equipment clean and organized according to company standards.
• Communicate Production Issues: Report equipment concerns, quality issues, or production interruptions to the appropriate supervisor.
• Support Food Safety: Follow applicable GMP, sanitation, and food safety practices throughout the production process.
• Work with the Production Team: Coordinate with team members to support daily production goals and maintain an efficient workflow.
• Participate in Training: Complete required training on 1st Shift and apply established operating and safety procedures when transitioning to 2nd Shift.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
