HDL Research Lab Inc is actively seeking a Machine Operator to support CNC machine shop operations with loading/unloading of parts, monitoring Haas and Mazak machines, and ensuring proper handling and routing of components. The role includes deburring, inspection, cleaning, and hardware installation as needed.

Applicants should read and comprehend drawings, have strong mechanical aptitude, superior time management, attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Load and unload parts, materials, and fixtures into CNC machines (Haas, Mazak) per work instructions.
• Start and monitor machine cycles; report alarms and quality concerns.
• Inspect parts with precision tools to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Perform deburring and remove burrs from machined components.
• Install threaded inserts, fasteners and other hardware per instructions.
• Clean parts, remove contaminants and maintain proper cleanliness of work area.
• Conduct routine maintenance and check calibration status of tools and equipment.
• Maintain a work record and perform other tasks as assigned.

Description

The Machine Operator supports machine shop operations by loading and unloading parts, monitoring CNC machines during production, and ensuring parts are properly handled and routed. This position also assists with deburring, cleaning, inspection, and hardware installation as needed.

• Load and unload parts, materials, and fixtures into CNC machines (Haas, Mazak) according to work instructions.
• Start and monitor assigned machine cycles and promptly report equipment alarms, quality concerns, or operating issues.
• Inspect and verify parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, Micro-Hite) to ensure adherence to strict quality standards.
• Deburr machined components (aluminum, copper, plastics), making sure dimensions remain within specification.
• Remove all loose burrs or sharp edges using assorted abrasive tooling.
• Install threaded inserts, fasteners, and other hardware according to work instructions.
• Wash components, making sure all parts are free of debris, coolant, dirt or any other contaminants.
• Follow established safety protocols, wear all required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Check calibration status of assigned tools and equipment.
• Maintain a work record.
• Perform all other tasks as assigned.

Preferred, But Not Required

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch.
