Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking a collaborative team member to operate production machines and support daily manufacturing tasks in our industrial setting. You will contribute to quality, efficiency, and safety while working with a skilled team across shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in heavy industrial environments, are physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, and can stand for long periods. CMC offers training, benefits from day one, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for up to 12 hours.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in heavy industrial environments preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines according to established procedures.
• Work effectively in a team to promote productivity.
• Attend daily shift meetings to measure progress and obtain feedback.
• Inspect outgoing material for accuracy.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

What You'll Need

• Minimum 1 year working with heavy industrial environment experience preferred but not required
• Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits
• Ability to stand for duration of a shift, up to 12 hours; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced continually changing environment
• Ability to work in uncontrolled climate environment and in the elements
• Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form are necessary to be successful in this role
