Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking team members to maintain clean work areas and operate production equipment in a fast-paced setting. You will follow established procedures, uphold safety standards, and participate in safety programs to support a strong safety culture.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in recycling or manufacturing, forklift/loader experience, and can work in varied weather conditions. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.
• Able to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment with multitasking and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows safety regulations.
• Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

What You'll Do

• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

What You'll Need

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Able to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Minimum 1 year experience in either recycling and/or manufacturing environment preferred
• Previous experience operating forklift, skid steer, loader or similar equipment
• Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
