Job description

Nesco Resource is looking for a Machine Operator located in Bethel, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-3PM (Can be adjusted if necessary)

Pay: $20-$22/Hour depending on experience

Job Overview: We're seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to join a precision manufacturing team. In this role, you'll work with advanced CNC and manual machinery to produce high-tolerance components for industries such as aerospace, medical, and commercial. The ideal candidate has a mechanical mindset, a commitment to quality, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC lathes, mills, and/or Swiss-style machines in a high-precision environment
• Load raw materials, monitor machine cycles, and inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Perform basic machine setups and make minor adjustments as needed
• Maintain clean and safe work area in accordance with company standards
• Identify and report any machine or quality issues to the supervisor or setup technician
• Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals
• Read and interpret blueprints and job travelers

Qualifications:

• 2+ year of experience operating CNC or manual machinery (training available for mechanically inclined candidates)
• Willingness to learn how to operate/run a Lathe Machine
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and safety protocols
• High attention to detail and quality
• Reliable attendance and strong communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
