Job summary

MW Components, Inc. in Berea, OH is seeking a manufacturing operator to join our cell-based production team. The role involves operating machines, performing quality checks, and handling hand tools while strictly following safety procedures.

You will work with a team, perform basic math and documentation tasks, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. This full-time, on-site position offers opportunities for cross-training and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Capable of reading, writing, basic arithmetic, and following instructions.
• Experience with hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety by following procedures and regulations.
• Operate machines within the cell.
• Make minor adjustments or escalate to Lead for major changes.
• Keep the machine and work area clean and organized.
• Count, clean, return gauges and fixtures, and transfer parts.
• Follow schedules and procedures.
• Be adaptable to cell and team concepts and cross-training.
• Ensure safety guards are in place and in good condition.
• Assist other operators as needed.
• Inspect work in progress and ensure quality of own work.
• Forklift operation.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Operate various machines within the cell
• Makes minor adjustments as necessary or notify Lead person if a more significant adjustment is required
• Maintains a clean machine and organized work area
• Performs a variety of tasks such as counting, cleaning, returning gauges and fixtures, transferring of parts
• Follows schedules and procedures
• Adaptable to cell and team concepts, as well as cross-training
• Sees that all safety guards are in place and in good condition
• Assist other operators if necessary
• Inspects work in progress using equipment necessary and outlined in Quality or work instructions. Responsible for quality of own work.
• Forklift (i.e., powered industrial truck) operation
• All other duties as assigned

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Capable of using hand tools (i.e., screwdriver, wrenches, etc.)
• Ability to read and write, perform basic arithmetic and follow verbal and written instructions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
