Job summary

Progress Rail Services Corp. in Alorton, IL is seeking a production operator for a steel fabrication environment. The role involves operating manual equipment and measuring tools to meet drawing specifications, with on-the-job training provided.

• Operate overhead crane.
• Operate tow motor.
• Add, subtract, multiply and divide; read a tape measure.
• Read micrometers, calipers or other precision measuring tools; follow instructions.

Job Purpose:

Competitive starting pay range $20/hr, eligible $1.00 increase at 1 year, quarterly production bonus $200-$500, and full benefits from day one!!!

This is a production shop environment working with steel materials for the production of railroad tracks and crossings. Previous experience working in a machine shop environment is helpful but not necessary. We provide on the job training to qualified applicants.

Education / Training:
