Job Purpose

The Maintenance Mechanic maintains equipment according to the Preventive Maintenance program, diagnoses and repairs mechanical problems and performs emergency and proactive repairs of buildings and grounds, production equipment and machinery while minimizing down time.

Shift Information

We have openings on both 1st and 2nd shift, with 2nd shift paying a $3.00 an hour differential. Up to $39.50 per hour earning potential. Shifts operate on 4 ten‑hour shifts Mon‑Thu with overtime schedule at times on Friday.

Minimum Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment according to Preventative Maintenance program.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
• Perform emergency and reactive repairs of production equipment and machinery, minimizing downtime.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
• Perform inspections of completed maintenance and document results.
• Complete and maintain paperwork for maintenance performed.
• Assist in other work areas as needed and directed by the department supervisor.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment as necessary.
• Comply with all plant safety and environmental regulations and maintain a safe, organized work area.

Education / Training

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Certified/Licensed Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
• Basic computer skills.
• OSHA 10‑hour certification.
• Mechanic and technical aptitude.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• PLC experience.
