Job summary

Modern Industries in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service CNC machines, monitor coolant levels, lubricate systems, and perform preventative maintenance. You will keep records and help maintain a clean, safe shop environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic math, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check, maintain, and replenish coolant levels in CNC machines.
• Monitor coolant concentration using testing equipment and adjust as needed.
• Fill and maintain machine lubrication systems with appropriate oils and lubricants.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on CNC machines.
• Clean coolant tanks, filters, and machine reservoirs.
• Remove chips and debris from machines as needed.
• Safely dispose of used coolant, oils, and waste materials according to guidelines.
• Inspect machines for leaks or maintenance concerns and report findings.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and fluid level records.
• Keep work areas clean and organized using 5S principles.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Assist maintenance personnel with basic machine upkeep and other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

• Experience working in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Familiarity with CNC equipment, machine lubrication, or coolant systems.
• Basic mechanical or maintenance experience.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
