Job summary

Taylor Guitars is seeking a Machine Mechanic I to install, maintain and repair in-house woodworking machinery including sanders, saws, routers, CNCs, and robotic systems. The role covers mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, and dust-collection needs under supervision, with a 6:30AM–3:00PM day shift and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience as equipment maintenance mechanic or similar role.
• Experience operating CNC machining on metals, plastics and wood.
• Troubleshooting open/closed-loop drives, VFDs and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and uses appropriate hand tools and PPE for maintenance activities.
• Performs Lockout-Tagout procedures.
• Reads and interprets manuals and machine data.
• Disassembles and assembles machinery (band saws, drill presses, planners, shapers, VMCs).
• Plans and executes machine moves and installation of new equipment.
• Installs and repairs pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum and dust collection systems.
