Job summary

Default Brand's Watertown facility, maker of Little Trees air fresheners in the USA since 1952, seeks a Mechanic to maintain, adjust, and repair production machinery. The role supports continuous operation in a fast-paced plant with shifts Monday–Thursday 4:30 pm–3:00 am and overtime as needed.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, about 1 year of mechanical experience, basic math, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand long hours, and operate a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance
• Set up and activate specialized production machinery
• Performs spot weld
• Assembles, installs, and dismantles machinery

• Uses powered pallet jack
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any issues to supervisor

Making the famous Little Trees air fresheners here in the USA since 1952.

Hours:

Monday - Thursday, 4:30 pm to 3:00 am. Overtime may be required based on demand.

Salary:

$25.25 per hour, increasing to $26.75 within 6 months, which includes a $3 per hour shift differential.

Summary:

The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, adjusting and repairing manufacturing machinery. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Responsibilities:

• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance
• Set up and activate specialized production machinery
• Performs spot weld
• Assembles, installs, and dismantles machinery
• Maintains hand tools in working conditions
• Uses powered pallet jack
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any issues to supervisor

Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year mechanical or related experience
• Basic math skills
• Lift up to 40 pounds
• Stand for long periods of time and climb stairs, bend, lift and push
• Hand eye coordination
• Use of both hands and fingers
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate pallet jack.
