Job summary

Bridge Brothers in Pickens, SC is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve equipment powering the fabrication facility. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience with CNC/beamline equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, bearings, and industrial machinery.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment manuals.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to quickly identify and resolve equipment failures.
• Repair and maintain fabrication equipment including CNC machinery, plasma cutting tables, beamlines, saws, welding equipment, forklifts, air compressors, and other shop equipment.
• Replace and repair motors, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, rollers, hydraulic components, and electrical devices.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals to diagnose problems and complete repairs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and work efficiently to minimize production downtime.
• Perform inspections and routine maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and lifespan.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed work.
• Work closely with production and leadership to improve equipment performance and identify opportunities for preventative maintenance.
• Follow all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and proper use of PPE.

Position Summary

Bridge Brothers is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve the equipment that powers our fabrication facility.

This is a hands-on role responsible for minimizing equipment downtime, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting continuous improvement efforts throughout the shop.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, working with a variety of industrial equipment, and takes pride in keeping production running.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, bearings, and industrial machinery.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment manuals.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple repairs in a fast-paced production environment.
• Forklift experience or ability to become certified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining CNC fabrication equipment, plasma tables, beamlines, or structural steel manufacturing equipment.
• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Welding or light fabrication experience.
• Experience using CMMS or computerized maintenance systems.
• Industrial electrical experience, including 480V equipment.

This position works throughout an active structural steel fabrication facility.

The role requires:

• Standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting throughout the workday.
• Working around heavy industrial machinery and moving equipment.
• Occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds.
• Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Working in varying temperatures within an indoor manufacturing environment.
