Century Linen & Uniform is the largest and most up-to-date commercial laundry operation in New York State.

Our Maintenance & Engineering team plays a critical role in ensuring safe operation, extending equipment life, and preventing downtime.

We are currently seeking Maintenance Technicians / Mechanics for our Johnstown facilities.

Compensation: $22-25/hr, depending on skillset.

Location: 125 Balzano Dr., Johnstown, NY 12095

Shift: 1st Shift / Overtime Available

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment and facility maintenance. Responsibilities include start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boiler maintenance, welding, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and more.

Essential Functions

1. Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on industrial processing equipment.
2. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
3. Read and interpret electrical schematics.
4. Study manufacturer documentation to ensure correct operation of machinery.
5. Maintain accurate maintenance records.
6. Respond to daily maintenance requests to minimize equipment downtime.
7. Provide emergency repairs for production equipment.
8. Ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
9. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through educational workshops and publications.
10. Stay current on equipment, repair procedures, and best practices.
