Role Overview

You will be tasked with the upkeep, repair, and optimization of our machinery to help us achieve peak operational efficiency, safety, and uptime. We need someone with a solid background in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems who thrives in a demanding manufacturing setting.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute routine, predictive, and urgent repairs on conveyors, stamping presses, and various automated systems to keep production running smoothly.
- Identify and fix issues with electrical components, motor controls, sensors, drives, HMIs, and PLC-driven machinery.
- Analyze and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical malfunctions.
- Utilize technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics to guide your repair work.
- Perform root cause investigations to help minimize downtime and boost the overall reliability of our equipment.
- Service and maintain material handling systems, die protection setups, lubrication units, and press feed mechanisms.
- Set up, verify, and calibrate industrial control parts like switches, sensors, drives, and motors.
- Log all maintenance tasks and manage work orders through our digital CMMS platform.
- Assist with the installation of new machinery, equipment upgrades, and various process improvement projects.
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly following OSHA guidelines and LOTO protocols.
- Work alongside engineering, tooling, and production staff to solve technical problems and enhance plant output.
Requirements
- A GED or high school diploma is mandatory, while additional technical schooling or an apprenticeship is a plus.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
- Background working with automotive production lines, automated machinery, or stamping presses is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in pneumatics, hydraulics, VFDs, motor controls, and PLC diagnostics.
- Capability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, or off-shift hours when required.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with FactoryTalk software and Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Background in maintaining robotic automation setups.
- Relevant trade certifications, such as a Journeyman Electrician or Industrial Maintenance credential.
- Skills in fabrication and welding.
Essential competencies include:
- Expertise in PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in general maintenance and repair techniques.
- Knowledge of progressive die forming and metal stamping processes.
