Machine Maintenance Technician

Core Laboratories is seeking an experienced Machine Maintenance Technician to work with all departments to coordinate the safety, maintenance, and equipment needs of the facility. The role will conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure facility and manufacturing equipment operates efficiently and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, fix, service, overhaul or replace defective parts to achieve highest quality and longest life of assigned equipment.
• Ensure assigned equipment meets manufacturer and company specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks and inspections on assigned equipment.
• Assist and guide service personnel (lift operators, truck drivers, welders) in adhering to standard operating procedures and compliance requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks including greasing, oiling, and replacing filters, belts, and other components.
• Operate equipment during relief periods and while troubleshooting equipment.
• Report to supervisor and take appropriate action as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1‑3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing work environment.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

• Hands‑on experience and training with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical wiring and NEC code, and PLC programming.
• Good working knowledge of machining and welding.
• Knowledge of geometric and precision measuring tools.
• Ability to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to solve complex equipment problems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee may be asked to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Employee will be regularly exposed to inside temperature with no climate control and outside weather conditions. Employee will also be regularly exposed to explosives (explosives at Owen Oil Tools only).
