Job summary

Inergroup Insourcing Solutions in Elgin, IL seeks a Machine Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency. The role includes preventive maintenance, electrical/PLC troubleshooting, and equipment installation improvements.

Shift options include 2nd and 3rd shifts with pay starting at $35-$40 per hour, and full benefits. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working on conveyor belts, sealing machines, and other production equipment.
• Strong electrical skills: Interpretation of electrical/controls circuitry schematics and PLC hardware/Ladder Logic.
• Mechanical skills: Troubleshooting pneumatic systems, motors, drive systems, and valves.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift throughout the production facility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime of manufacturing equipment.
• Perform mechanical and electronic troubleshooting of complex systems, including electrical and PLC problems.
• Install new equipment and make improvements on existing machinery.
• Prioritize work orders for routine and scheduled maintenance and document repairs.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on all plant utility systems.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
