Job summary

Advanced Machine & Engineering is seeking a full-time, 1st shift Machine Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machinery and production equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of hands-on CNC troubleshooting, a strong background in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics. Safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Welding and pipe fitting experience preferred.
• Must follow safety procedures and lockout/tagout rules.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on CNC machines and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot CNC alarms and fault codes to restore operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams and manuals.
• Assist with general building maintenance and HVAC system upkeep.
• Document parts usage and repair records.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow lockout/tagout procedures.

Advanced Machine & Engineering is a diversified manufacturing company that designs, builds, & delivers carbide sawing systems, custom work holding solutions, & automation solutions for a variety of industries. We are looking for full time, 1st shift Machine Maintenance Mechanic. The ideal candidate is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machinery and production equipment to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations. This role requires strong hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting abilities and plays a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime and maintaining reliable production operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on CNC machines and other production equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve CNC machine alarms and fault codes to restore equipment to normal operation
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs to reduce unplanned equipment downtime
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation
• Assist with general building maintenance, including basic repairs and upkeep of facility systems
• Support HVAC system maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
• Perform welding and pipe fitting tasks as required
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance team members to prioritize and complete repairs
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, parts usage, and repair documentation
• Follow all company safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical or maintenance-related training preferred

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machinery, including machine alarm and fault diagnosis, required

Skills:

• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Strong CNC machine troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to diagnose and resolve CNC alarms and equipment faults
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and technical manuals
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Welding and pipe fitting experience preferred
• HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience preferred

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and work in various physical positions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Manual dexterity required to safely use hand and power tools
• Ability to access and work around CNC machinery and production equipment
• Ability to perform physical activities associated with equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing and industrial environment
• Regular exposure to CNC machinery, production equipment, mechanical systems, and electrical equipment
• Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Must follow established safety and lockout/tagout procedures
• Occasional evening, weekend, or on-call availability may be required to support production schedules and address urgent equipment issues

$30 - $38/hr.
