Wayfair invites top PhD students for a 10-week Machine Learning Science Internship in Boston. You will own the ML lifecycle from idea through deployment, tackling state‑of‑the‑art problems in Search, Personalization, Pricing, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• PhD student in a quantitative field; expected degree between Dec 2027 and Aug 2028.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be returning to the degree program after the internship.
• Proficient in Python.

Responsibilities

• Own the ML lifecycle from idea to deployment and business impact.
• Develop and scale ML models to solve core business problems.
• Create algorithmic solutions that improve customer and supplier experiences.
• Extract insights from large datasets to drive business value.
• Pilot new tools and contribute to potential publications.
• Collaborate with a team to build scalable solutions.
