Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Machine Learning Manager/Director that will oversee the development, deployment, and optimization of machine learning models and systems. This role requires a strategic leader with deep technical expertise in machine learning, a proven track record of managing high-performing teams, and the ability to align ML strategies with business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, product managers, and executives, to deliver scalable and impactful AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of machine learning engineers, data scientists, and researchers.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
• Define team goals, set performance metrics, and conduct regular evaluations.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive machine learning strategy aligned with the company’s mission and goals.
• Identify opportunities to apply ML techniques to enhance products, services, or operational efficiency.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced machine learning models and algorithms.
• Ensure models are scalable, robust, and optimized for production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ML solutions into existing systems and workflows.
• Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure access to high-quality, relevant datasets.
• Partner with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Communicate complex ML concepts and outcomes to non-technical audiences effectively.
• Performance & Optimization:
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed ML systems, driving continuous improvement.
• Implement best practices for model validation, testing, and monitoring to ensure reliability and accuracy.
• Manage resource allocation, budgets, and timelines for ML projects.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
• Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or a related technical field.
• 1+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams, preferably in an ML/AI-focused role.
• Proven success in delivering ML projects from concept to production.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and ML deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
