Role

As the Machine Learning Engineer, AI Platform in the Splunk AI Dev Tools team, you will build services and tools that support our AI products and accelerate our AI developers. This role combines software engineering with cloud infrastructure and machine learning technologies, focusing on building and maintaining scalable AI systems with operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI services in our platform powering all AI products.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for model deployment.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Collaborate with ML Engineers and Applied Scientists on model serving systems.
• Monitor system performance and improve scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and documentations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Required Qualifications

• US Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software development with Python and Golang
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of data storage technologies (S3, PostgreSQL, vector databases)
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Understanding of ML deployment and serving patterns
• Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools
• Experience with automated testing
• Security best practices in cloud environments

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area: $146,400 - $201,300/year

California (excluding SF Bay Area), Washington (excluding Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts: $131,760 - $181,170/year

Other cities and states: $117,120 - $161,040/year
