Role

As a Machine Learning Engineer in the Artificial Intelligence group, you will develop core AI/ML capabilities to support Splunk's product portfolio and help our customers in their digital resiliency journey. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior team members, and help shape the engineering roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Develop the AI/ML platform and infrastructure for key ML use cases in cybersecurity and observability.
• Work closely with software engineers, applied scientists, and product managers to integrate generative AI solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest AI/ML advancements and incorporate them into our technology roadmap.
• Participate in strategic discussions on AI directions and product roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience deploying and serving models in production.
• Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and serverless architectures.
• Experience with MLOps platforms like MLflow or Kubeflow.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with data scientists and DevOps teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Base Pay Range:

• SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area: $146,400 - $201,300/year
• California (excluding SF Bay Area), Washington (excluding Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, Massachusetts: $131,760 - $181,170/year
• Other cities/states: $117,120 - $161,040/year
