Job summary

Zoom is seeking a qualified individual to design and implement GenAI algorithms, optimize solutions for complex business challenges, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 3 years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 1 year experience.

This position allows telecommuting one day per week and requires four days in the office. A rich benefits program accompanies the competitive salary ranging from $183,600 to $275,400 annually.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize GenAI algorithms, techniques and solutions to address complex business challenges.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate research findings into scalable engineering solutions that align with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical presentations to ensure the quality and reliability of engineering solutions.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in existing systems and propose innovative solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Stay up to date with the newest developments in GenAI research and engineering to continuously improve technical capabilities.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or a foreign degree equivalent. Must have 3 years of experience in the occupation or related field in the following skills:

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C, C++, or CUDA for building scalable software systems.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks including PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Presentation of academic or personal AI projects.
• Collaboration with cross‑functional teams to present technical concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Knowledge of agentic AI including LLM‑driven AI agents, agentic RAG.
• Building scalable, maintainable, and production‑ready machine learning systems.
• Analysis of data and troubleshooting issues related to deployed AI systems.

Telecommuting work arrangement permitted one day per week; four days in office required. No domestic or international travel required.

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience the company will accept a Master’s degree with 1 year of experience in the occupation and 1 year of experience in the above skills.

Compensation

Salary Range: $183,600.00–$275,400.00

Base salary, bonus, and equity value are considered. Starting pay will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
