Job summary

Thompson Machinery is seeking a Machine Inspector in Tennessee to examine machines, equipment, and components for quality, safety, and performance standards. You will conduct visual and mechanical inspections, use precision tools, document findings, and verify repairs with technicians and operations teams.

You will maintain inspection records and support continuous improvement while upholding safety and efficiency across the yard and shop environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with heavy equipment, construction, trucking, or industrial environments preferred.
• Forklift certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machines and attachments for damage upon arrival and departure.
• Maintain inspection records and documentation.
• Coordinate with technicians and operations to verify repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure safety standards are followed in all tasks.
• Operate forklifts and move equipment safely within the facility.
