Job summary

Warren CAT in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Machine Field Technician III to perform high quality repair service on heavy equipment, respond to customer needs promptly, and maximize value of work performed. You will diagnose, repair, and test machines, mentor teammates, and travel up to 40% as required.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 5–8 years experience), valid CDL within 90 days, and certification in air-conditioning; strong knowledge of safety rules and documentation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
• Complete related paperwork and access required databases (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW).
• Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies.
• Master basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, laptops, diagnostic software, cranes and rigging.
• Provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to customers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems; perform repairs and adjustments.
• Apply failure analysis procedures for proper diagnosis.
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs.
• Mentor Machine team members.

The Machine Field Technician III is responsible for providing high quality repair service on equipment, in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed.

What You'll Do

• Complete assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with ability to self-monitor work quality.
• Mastery level knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, lap tops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
• This position requires the ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments.
• Apply specific failure analysis and procedures in determining proper diagnosis.
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
• Mentor Machine team members.

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform duties.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondence.
• Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Manufacturing software and Order processing systems.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain CDL within 90 days of hire for field assignment, must be at least 21 years old to be assigned and operate field vehicle.
• May be required to complete a DOT physical.
• Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work, required overtime and on call.
• Must be certified in air-conditioning.
