Job summary

Yanmar Compact Equipment North America is seeking an embedded software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software for machine and engine control, telematics, and displays. You will collaborate with engineering, product development, testing, and production to integrate systems and improve reliability.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field and proven embedded software experience, with strong analytical skills and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience developing embedded software is required.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities; good communication and collaboration skills.

Job description

Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for machine, engine, display, and telematics controls in compact heavy equipment. Collaborate across engineering, product development, testing, and production to integrate systems, resolve issues, validate performance, and improve machine reliability and functionality.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field and experience developing embedded software are required. Candidates should have proficiency in an embedded programming language, strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, and effective communication and collaboration skills; experience with off-highway equipment, hydraulics, CAN/J1939, RTOS, or related tools is preferred.
