Cardinal Staffing Services in Toledo, OH is seeking a Controls Programmer to design, test, and troubleshoot machine control systems for custom automation equipment across glass, food, and packaging industries.

The role requires independent work, multi-project management, strong technical problem solving, and collaboration with engineering and production teams. 1st shift Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends; travel up to 30% within the U.S.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of machine programming experience.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC and HMI programming.
• Ability to travel 25–30% within the United States.

Responsabilidades

• Program PLCs, HMIs, and machine control systems per project requirements.
• Collaborate with Controls Design, Mechanical Engineering, and Sales teams to understand specifications.
• Test and troubleshoot machine programs prior to shipment.
• Assist the Assembly Department with startup and commissioning on the production floor.
• Travel to customer sites to assist with installation, startup, and testing.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on equipment.
• Maintain software backups and documentation on company servers.
• Develop operation manuals and support documentation for customers.
• Provide phone support and assist with retrofits and upgrades as needed.
