Job summary

Phillips Staffing seeks a Machine Cleaner to join our client’s manufacturing operation in Pendleton, SC. This entry level role safely performs general cleaning and preventative maintenance on production equipment and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities include cleaning and PM tasks, maintaining logs, and supporting safe plant operations. Training will be provided, with emphasis on safety, LOTO procedures, and teamwork in a 12-hour rotating shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to learn and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Basic computer skills, including opening files, navigating software, and entering information.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Previous manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical, or industrial experience is a plus, but training will be provided.

• Perform and document routine preventative maintenance (PM) tasks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, and other required documentation.
• Assist with maintaining, organizing, and ordering spare parts as needed.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and technical direction.
• Report equipment concerns, safety issues, or maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.
• Work as part of a team to support safe and efficient plant operations.
