Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 4 years of machine-building experience, preferably on custom/capital equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly and installation.
• Hands-on pneumatic system experience including assembly and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work safely with electrical components and systems during assembly and testing.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Own basic personal tools suitable for machine building tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and close tolerances.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and apply technical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, plan, and complete mechanical subassembly work for custom capital equipment.
• Mount bearings, pneumatic components, and drive systems to tight tolerances.
• Install electrical components into panels and enclosures per drawings.
• Work from pneumatic/hydraulic schematics and instructions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues.
• Use hand/power tools and measuring devices to complete assembly and verification.
• Drill and tap holes to mount components and align assemblies.
• Test machines to verify operation and safety compliance.
• Interpret custom wiring diagrams and connect machine systems correctly.
• Handle and position machines and components safely during builds.
