Job summary

Dynomax, Inc. is seeking a skilled Machine Builder to join its R&D-focused team to assemble and align complex automation equipment. You will work closely with engineers and electricians to ensure precise assembly and smooth integration of automation systems.

Apply your hands-on skills with standard tools, read blueprints, and participate in safe, high-quality prototyping and production-ready machines. This role offers growth opportunities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and assembly drawings.
• Experience with mechanical assembly in an R&D or production setting.
• 2+ years in mechanical assembly or machine building preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move, build, and set up major components for complex automation projects.
• Construct and assemble extrusion-based machine enclosures and guarding.
• Assist engineers with precise alignment and calibration.
• Install pneumatic plumbing, valves, and components and troubleshoot.
• Operate shop equipment such as forklifts and drill presses safely.
• Follow LOTO and safety guidelines to prevent hazards.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Perform light packing and crating for finished assemblies.

Job description

Dynomax, Inc is developing and building exciting machines and automation! We are seeking a well-rounded Machine Builder to work in an R&D environment. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Machine Builder or someone with a strong mechanical assembly background who enjoys a wide variety of work and thinking on their feet.

Machine Builder Job Responsibilities

• Move, build, and set up major components for complex automation projects
• Construct and assemble extrusion-based machine enclosures and safety guarding
• Assist engineers and toolmakers with precise machine alignment and calibration
• Assist industrial electricians with panel installations and wire routing
• Install, connect, and troubleshoot pneumatic plumbing, valves, and components
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, drill presses, and other shop equipment safely
• Follow safety guidelines for Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), drop/crush hazards, fall hazards, and moving components
• Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions accurately
• Perform light product packing and crating for finished assemblies

Machine Builder Job Requirements

• Proficiency with standard hand and power tools required for mechanical assembly
• Effective team communication and the ability to foster peer rapport
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and assembly instructions
• 2+ years of mechanical assembly or machine building experience preferred
• Experience with driving forklifts and operating pallet jacks, drill press, and other shop equipment preferred
