We are seeking an experienced Machine Builder with a talent for mechanical build skills to join our dynamic team.

Position Description

Rollon by Timken is seeking a motivated and dependable Machine Builder to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, installing, and servicing custom machines. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, adaptable to changing priorities, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble machine components and complete machine builds using blueprints, assembly drawings, photographs, and verbal instructions.
  • Utilize common shop equipment and tools, including hand tools, drills, taps, saws, grinders, and measuring instruments.
  • Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble machinery and machine components as required.
  • Perform machine alignment and tooling alignment activities.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and machine accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Interface professionally with customers, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Travel to customer facilities for machine installation, startup, service, and support as needed (up to 25%).
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Work flexible schedules, including occasional overtime and weekends when business needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Necessary Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of shop practices and machine assembly techniques.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively to a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, quality workmanship, and workplace safety.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position machine components and tooling as required.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with machine tool assembly, maintenance, or repair.
  • Industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience aligning machinery and precision tooling.
  • Forklift, overhead crane, and scissor lift certification.
  • Experience with manual milling machines (Bridgeport, Lathes, etc.).
Education & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with machinery, machine assembly, industrial equipment, or a related field.
  • Technical school, apprenticeship, or vocational training is preferred.
